CHA!

Oh my goodness...we are having the best time ever! CHA is such a marathon, so we are taking it easy tonight and scrapbooking in our hotel room...and poor Lexi is sick. (So she's allowed to go to bed early:)

This was my favorite booth at the show...the new Girls Loft lines were absolutely darling! I loved her paper garlands. These were hanging all around the booth.

I also was in love with Jenni Bowlin's booth (as always.)
I really love these buttons! Who wouldn't right??

Those teeny tiny little letters on this canvas are cut from one of her new bingo cards. So cute.

And we ended the night with a trip to IKEA. I don't think it gets much better! :)

Now I need to get to bed so I can shop till I drop in the morning. I'll post more pictures tomorrow! Have a great night!

Transformed!

This past weekend I took a cinnamon jar candle that was NOT cute (but smelled terrific)...and transformed it. Just in time for Valentine's Day!
Here is the result...it's always so much fun to use your scrapbooking supplies on things other than scrapbook pages. I added a filmy ribbon, because I am not really a fan of this shape of jar either!
I added a band of Prima canvas printed material (*note use glue gun...your glue dots will not hold it! :) I picked 2 little embellishments to add. The flower in the middle is Heidi Swapp, the hearts on either side are Me and My Big Ideas. I set it on a heart shaped plate and it looks nothing like it did before. Mission accomplished!

Feels like a Monday...

And I have the mile-long to-do list to prove it! Just stopping in quickly to share a few more cards. Then it's off to check a few more things off the list. I'm getting super excited to head to CHA this coming weekend! I have seen SO many things that are calling my name! :)
The paper on this one is from our Dec. "Give" kit and has a glitter Making Memories frame. I added an old AC metal "s" and a button from my stash. (Oh and of course another felt heart I had cut out!)
One more.

I'm working on getting a newsletter out with sneak peeks of next months kit...and it's SO cute! I just need some decent light to photograph it! Have a happy "feels-like-a-Monday-Tuesday!"

It's never too soon...

To start decorating your house for Valentine's Day is it?? Not at my house at least. I spent some time getting crafty around the house this weekend. I made this super long heart garland and maybe got a little carried away because it's been tough finding the right spot for it since it's SO long. It turned out pretty cute. I told my Mom that I can dream up what I want to make, but I am not so good at executing the vision I have in my head. Once I get it hung, I'll post a picture of it's "final resting place." LOL.
I bought at least 3 or 4 sheets of each color of felt at the craft store and only used one sheet of pink and one of red. Hmmm...I could make garlands for all of my neighbors too and not run out! Oops! I'm planning to make a few more and then some individual hearts to hang from the dining room chandelier.
I added a few smaller hearts to the larger ones and stitched the outline of the smaller heart, just to give it a little variety. None of the hearts match, every single one is different. Totally "freehanded" it.

Oh, and I also made a few Valentine cards...I'll share a few more tomorrow and also another little V-day project I made. These heart cards were in the $1 bins at Target...aren't they cute? I added some canvas fabric paper and layered a heart I cut from felt with a chipboard button. SO easy.

Friday fun...

What a day! This year I have decided to make room in my life for working out at the gym...which means everything on the schedule has to be reorganized. So far, so good. It just makes me a little busier than usual and also exhausted at the end of the day. Never the less, it's something that is a big part of my day now and therefore needs to be documented. Right? So I snapped a shot of my boots in the locker. I think I was inspired by project 365.
I am planning on getting some craft time in tonight. I bought lots of red and pink felt to make some heart garlands to hang around the house. I also bought a really cute package of valentine cards from the $1 bins at Target. They are red with tiny little white hearts on them. They just need a little embellishment and they will be perfect. I'll share some craftiness tomorrow! Have a great night!

First Snow...

This is a layout I had started ages ago...I just hadn't put the finishing touches on it. I had it all adhered to the page (minus some embellishments) and just didn't like the way it was turning out. Am I the only one that does that? So I left it unfinished and worked on other things that were inspiring me. I came across it just laying there and decided it need some love and attention. I added the little Cosmo Cricket chipboard accents and a title and few pieces of this and that.
I added a little DMC floss to hook the mittens together...eek...how cute are they?
I stapled on a bit of the Jolly By Golly paper left over from my Christmas cards, and added a small piece of birdie ribbon.

The pink flower underneath the snowflake really isn't too great for a snowy page, but it makes the snowflake chipboard stand out and I like that. The alphabet is an old one by American Crafts. I must have really liked it when it was new because I have multiple sets of it!

I added some pearls to add even more dimension to the snowflakes. How was every ones day?? I am busy preparing for our trip to CHA in California right now. I am super excited! Has anyone seen all of the beautiful sneak peeks out there from several different manufacturers? I have seen some I am in love with! What are your favorites so far?
